Congratulations on your election (or appointment) to MSA Board for the upcoming academic year! We ask Allah to make this an experience that is beneficial for you and our community, in this life and the next. Although your term does not officially begin until the first day of the summer, there is much to do now in order to prepare you as a board and as individuals in differing roles.
If you have not yet been made familiar, this page is one of many that comprise the UCBMSA Wiki. Our wiki is an incredible resource that is maintained and updated throughout the year, allowing future leadership to learn from the experience and mistakes of the past as well as offer transparency to community members regarding the internal workings of our association. It will soon become your responsibility to contribute to and update this wiki during your time as a board member.
Below, you will find a number of training documents that review various aspects of your role. At the end of each document is a comprehension quiz that is designed to be easy if you carefully read the respective pages. Before the Board Leadership Summit in April, you will be required to read all of the general and role-specific training documents on this page. You will also be required to complete all the comprehension quizzes at the end of each page with all questions answered correctly. You may take the quizzes as many times as you need and view which questions you got wrong until you get a score of 100%.
This may look like a lot of reading which may take you a few hours to complete. We ask that you set aside time to give these training documents the attention they deserve. Keep in mind that previous board members worked to make years of experience available to you through these pages.
You are not expected to memorize all the information that you read. We expect that you know where to find it at the least and be able to reference it throughout the year as needed.
Read and complete quizzes for all links under the General heading and your board position's heading. It will be helpful to go through these links in the order that they appear as some documents build on the material covered in others.
Relevant to all board members.
