The MSA Google Calendar allows for an centralized view of all MSA events. There are two calendars, the MSA Public Calendar, and the MSA Private Calendar. The public calendar is displayed on the MSA website events page. The google calendar is important for not only being transparent and accessible to the community, but also for keeping board members on track with recurring events, meetings, and timelines.
The public calendar should have all events that are accessible to the general community. This includes open board meetings, committee meetings, socials, Ilm classes, Jummuah, etc.
Each event should include the title, time, location, and a brief description if relevant. This allows the Communications Director to easily include the information in the newsletter.
All board members should have access to making changes and managing sharing. Committee heads, sister organizations, and officers should have access to making changes to events. The community at large should have access to view only. For a community member to add the MSA calendar to their own, have them click the shareable link in the settings.
The private calendar should have events that are not accessible to the entire community. This can include Advisory Meetings, one-on-one officer meetings, administration meetings, or other events open only to board members.
All board members should have access to making changes and managing sharing.
This calendar is not open to the public, nor to leadership.
